The Israeli – Palestinian conflict has been going on now for generations in the Middle East due to both countries wanting to own Palestine for their individual satisfaction.

While both countries have been fighting over control over Palestine, taking over an entire country is no simple task. According to an article titled “The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict”, the first paragraph says, “The Arab-Israeli conflict is a sequel to one of the world’s oldest and most unyielding contests – a struggle over the rightful ownership of Palestine, the Middle East region between the Mediterranean Sea and the river Jordan.” The article” The author, Mike, wrote those sentences to give the reader an understanding of how long the conflict between the two countries have been going on for and sets the tone for the remainder of the story. Palestine is a country of beauty and glory. But every glorious country comes with a prices — other countries wanting to gain control of that glorious land.

Another article titled “If Not Threats of War and Sanctions, Then What?” reads in paragraph 5 that, “Sometimes, diplomats are blunt. In 1973, the U.S. wanted to resupply Israeli forces during their war with Arab nations including Egypt and Syria. European allies refused to let the U.S. Air Force fly over their territory or use their bases for refueling stops.” The conflict between Israel and Palestine is so intense and stubborn that even the United States can’t intervene and ease the tensions between each country.

The diagram represents a time lapse between Israel gaining control over Palestine. Although the picture clearly represents Israel gaining control over the Palestine land, other people will argue that Israel was the first country that lived on the land.
The Israel – Palestine conflict is definitely a conflict that will not be solved eventually. If both countries will allow the United States to support them and let Palestinians live in America, this issue may be solved once and for all.
