This new year, MAC Cosmetics is said to launch the anticipated, all new collaborations with celebrity makeup artists Kabuki, James Kaliardos and Diane Kendal. After a few years in the making, these collections will be released to select locations in the United States with a total of 50 brand new products for lips, face, and eyes.

Jennifer Balbier, the MAC Senior Vice President, stated, “Artistry and product innovation are at the core of MAC Cosmetics. For many years we’ve worked with Kabuki, James and Diane backstage creating makeup looks and providing invaluable new product feedback at countless fashion weeks. It was a natural progression to collaborate with them on their own collections with new products and their favorite shades and tools.”

Each makeup artist created their own unique collection by adding their signature without actually signing it. Kabuki, is one of the more popular celebrity makeup artists from the collection. His MAC collection is made up of colourful eyeshadows, statement pigment paints and a dreamy blusher-bronzer duo, according to Cosmopolitan. Kabuki stated, “MAC gave me complete freedom with this collection and I turned my wish list into reality. Whether you’re a makeup artist or if you just like getting dolled up, I think you will love the colours, textures and long-lasting wearability of these products.”

James Kaliardos, another star of the the new collaboration, has worked with celebrities such as Madonna, Beyonce, Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet and many others. His collection reportedly reflected his quirky-cool style. The Kaliardos collaboration includes glosses and a never before seen silver lipstick.

Diane Kendal, being the only woman on the collaboration, focused on a creamy bronze lid and strobed cheeks with a bold lip, according to beauty blogger MissFQ. Kendal said, “I’m very excited to have been asked to collaborate on this collection with James & Kabuki as we all have our own distinct styles which will compliment and showcase the collection to its fullest.”

The collaborations with the three artists was created through time and effort through their love for makeup. The collection resulted in a highly anticipated release, soon to be stocked up at selected local MAC stores.
